It all started with the buttons...

...and with a dream of a better life. At the end oft he 18th century the farmer's son Peter Caspar Turck moves from Valbert to Lüdenscheid to start an apprenticeship. Five years later, he dares to set up his own company to manufacture buttons. The 225-year history of P.C. Turck is changeful. It incorporates a flourishing time when hundreds of workers who lived around the factory on Altenaer Strasse worked for the family business, as well as difficult times in which the company had to find new business areas in order to survive.
